Basic numbers for albatross 18.
Basic tips and numbers for a18 (these are the numbers i use at the moment, and i can almost guarantee they arent all right!). All numbers in examples are using 25 power(250y 1w base drive).
Backspin power numbers.
1w backspin = +18y e.g. pin is 230y away with 0 elevation. 230 + 18 = 248 248/(club power or total power) = power needed. (230 + 18)/250 = 99.5% power approx
2w backspin = +16y
3w backspin = +14y
Backspin numbers do change depending on greenslope elevation and some holes just being weird.
Tomahawk power numbers (this is for 7 spin):
1w Toma = +4 e.g. club base power = 250 + 10 (for powershot) +4 (for the backspin) = 264
2w Toma = +6
3w Toma = +8
Tomahawk power along with backspin power is not linear! e.g 1w toma hit at 80% will not go 211y, it will only go about 204y.
Sand wedge when in bunker:
Add 50% power to the hole distance. pin = 15y = (15 * 1.5) = 22.5y / 30 = 75%
6i for Bi:
Tail wind = hole distance = power % - 2%
Head wind = hole distance = power % - 1%
In bunker = hole distance = power % + 8%(for sand) - (1% or 2% depending on wind direction).
Toma aim numbers (1.0 = the width of a green square, thats a green square on the green, not a black square on the green) and hit at 100% power with zero elevation.
1w toma = 0.9 / 1m of wind
2w toma = 0.95
3w toma = 1.0
1w Backspin = 1.1
2w backspin = 1.2
3w backspin = 1.3
Negative Elevation:
for every -7m of height add +1%
e.g. pin = 264y, Elevation = -15.0, zero head or tail wind for 1w toma
(264 - 15) = 249/ 264 = 94% +2% (for height) = 96% 1w toma power (same power rule applies to backspin)
I'll add more stuff when i rememebr it and/or i work it out.
I know the format and phrasing is a bit........ well err... cack, and probably not the easiest to understand, but im doing this at work on the sly!
Meepy!
